Reigning Reality

In lands where innocence should thrive,
But echoes of sorrow pierce the sky,
Children's laughter silenced by fear,
Their dreams crushed, their cries unclear.

Toys lay abandoned, joy long fled,
In a world where innocence bled,
Women's tears soak the earth below,
Their silent screams lost in woe.

What cruel fate labels this a "war"?
When innocence is what it tore,
Tiny hearts crushed by the weight,
Of a conflict born of hate.

We watch in anguish, helpless and small,
As innocence crumbles, victims fall,
In the shadows of despair they roam,
Their shattered dreams left to atone.

Yet still we stand, burdened by grief,
Hoping for solace, seeking relief,
But the darkness lingers, heavy and cold,
As tragedy's tale continues to unfold.

In this bleak landscape, hope is rare,
As we witness innocence stripped bare,
May our tears mingle with theirs,
As we mourn the loss, the unfair.

For every child, every soul,
Caught in the grip of this cruel toll,
Deserves a chance to see the light,
But darkness reigns, a never-ending night.
